Restaurant Bag - Mudcloth
It all started when my husband and I got fed up with cutting bite-size pieces at our favorite pizza place using their dinky plastic fork and knife. So we started taking kitchen shears to restaurants. We were chopping up pizza, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, and quesadillas like real pros. Friends and strangers would always marvel and say "You have food scissors in your diaper bag?? That's genius!" And it just seemed wrong not to share this superpower with the rest of the world, so we decided to make our own!
Unfortunately, though, cutting food wasn't our only problem at restaurants. Those icky tables! We brought a spare Yeah Baby Goods highchair placemat with us every time we ate out, but of course we didn't really need the arms. So we knew we had to include a reusable, washable FDA food grade silicone placemat with our restaurant scissors. And of course, a cute to-go bag to store them in!
To use: Place placemat on table and cut food on it. After baby is done eating, wipe it with a napkin or wipe, roll it up, stick in in the to-go bag. When you get home, rinse with warm soapy water or stick it in the top rack of the dishwasher.
INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING:
1 Silicone Placemat (you choose Brown Sugar, Coconut Cream, Pale Terracotta, Desert Sage or Faded Jade)
- 9 x 14.8 inches
- Soft, 100% Food-grade, FDA compliant silicone – no lead, phthalates, BPAs, or other harsh chemicals found in plastic & lower-grade silicones
Kitchen Shears (Food Scissors) with protective sheath
Mudcloth To-Go Bag
- 10 x 4 x 2 inches
- Polyester/Cotton Blend exterior, EVA lining interior
- Zipper closure
Safety Warning: These scissors have a sharp blade. Keep out of each of children. Do not use in the vicinity of others. Remove scissor's sheath carefully.
Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle setting. Avoid harsh spot-scrubbing, and use a phosphate-free detergent for longer color life. Tumble dry on a low temperature or permanent press setting.
FDA grade silicone is highly resistant to staining. In order to avoid temporary discoloration, wash immediately after use. To clean, simply rinse with warm soapy water or place in the top rack of the dishwasher. If you do notice staining, continue using and washing for a few days. Typically the discoloration completely disappears on its own.
Pro Tip: We recommend putting the placemat back on the tray while wet then letting it air dry before the next meal. This trick gives it a little extra stick!
The bamboo footrest can be cleaned with a damp rag or soap and water as needed.
