As seasoned parents of four, we've learned food scissors are an absolute must-have at home and in the diaper bag!

It all started when my husband and I got fed up cutting bite-size pieces at our favorite pizza place using their dinky plastic forks. We started putting kitchen shears in our diaper bag. We were cutting up pizza, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, and quesadillas like real pros. Friends and strangers would marvel and say, "You have food scissors in your diaper bag?? That's genius!" It seemed wrong not to share this parenting win with the rest of the world, so we decided to make more portable scissors that include a sheath! One word to the wise, remove from diaper bag before going through airport security ;)

Game changer for dining out!

The restaurant essential kit has been a game changer for eating outside the home with my almost 18 month old. The kit has plenty of room to add in silverware and bin for my daughter and I love that you can wipe it all down. Scissors are the ultimate clutch move for quickly cutting up baby’s food. The kit fits perfectly in my diaper bag and the pattern is super cute too!

Great concept, but not travel friendly scissors

This is such a great concept; however, some items I would suggest is making the scissors much smaller and more rounded for safety. They are massive and not travel friendly. I replaced them with kid safety scissors. Realistically anywhere that safety scissors could not cut would be serving you a knife anyway. Safety scissors will be able to cut most food items.

Additionally, it would be nice to add a set of utensils and a bib to make this a complete kit. The pouch is beautiful and I will be keeping this product for that and the mat.

When designing our kit, we chose to include top of the line kitchen shears that would effortlessly cut through any food. It's common for parents to use the kit at home as well, so we wanted our food scissors to be the gold standard for cutting performance. We always appreciate hearing our customers' preferences and will definitely be listening to see if others feel the same way.

Love your suggestion about including a bib and utensil set! We already have a bundle where you can get the restaurant kit and bib together (www.yeahbabygoods.com/collections/restaurant-bags/products/restaurant-bag-plus), but we'll consider adding another bundle that also has utensils!

Great product

Keep these in the reusable food bag. For restaurant use

Good combo package

I could have gotten the scissor cheaper on other sites, but it's the wipeable zipper tote that contains the items that made me get it. I can't really find the bag separately at a reasonable price. The scissor is sharp and feel great; the placemat is a plus when we are out and about. I'm glad this combo of product exist to alleviate me getting the items separately.
